Walking into 2021
Happy New Year jaunters! With national restrictions in place across the UK, we know that it is a challenging time for everyone. We hope that getting outside once a day for a stroll will help provide a much needed break from it all. Walking meant so much to us last year; freedom, taking comfort in nature and providing us with a big mental health boost.
Thank you for joining us through such extraordinary times and supporting us to get more people out walking. We enjoyed many successes in 2020 which simply wouldn’t have happened without you, our brilliant community of jaunters.
We reached an epic 200K downloads!
We saw a 200% increase on walks made by you lovely lot - hurrah to you all :)
A 400% increase in those of you walking the walks. Whoop!
We were App of the day three times on the UK App Store.
We launched Nature Notes in March to help get more people connected with nature and more recently we’ve added our Green routes for you feature so that you can find greener, more peaceful walks from your doorstep. We can’t wait to bring them to Android this spring! Why not add a note today?
Nature Bantz continued to bring nature and joy to the podcast world with an excellent variety of guests including Zahrah Mahmood and David Lindo. Perfect for some relaxing listening whatever the time of year.
We were delighted to have some fantastic press including ITV London news, Glamour Magazine, Tech Crunch and The Guardian. Yay! We were also thrilled to work with many great partners from Manchester to Stockholm and look forward to bringing you more in the coming year.
Why not join in our #everydayfreedom campaign on Instagram and Twitter to celebrate what walking has meant for you throughout the pandemic? We’d love to hear from you.
Our hopes for 2021
Sustainable public transport options can be used again
The continued trend for people walking in their neighbourhoods
Increased use of green prescriptions to boost mental wellbeing
Staycation walks
Walking abroad…….? Who knows!
We hope you all enjoyed a well deserved rest over the holidays and here’s to a better year ahead. Thank you for being a part of it!
