To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Transport for London in 2020 we have curated 20 brand new 20 minute routes across London.
A 20 minute walk a day helps keep you happier and healthier. From hilltop views in Harrow to community gardens in Sydenham and Olympic-level wanders in Stratford, we’ve got the perfect wellbeing walk just for you.
We’ve also created two brand new TfL20 commemorative heritage trails which explore the fascinating history behind some of the city’s transport hubs and architecture. Enjoy the long route through central London’s highlights or jaunt around the shorter 20 minute version.
TfL20 Heritage Walk
Although TfL is turning 20 in 2020, some of its component parts have been operating for much longer. Learn more about its incredible heritage on this route from St James’s Park to Southwark Station.
Tfl20 Heritage Walk - Short Version
For those jaunters who want to learn about TfL’s history but are a bit pressed for time, this shorter twenty minute version of the heritage walk stretches from Embankment to Southwark Station.
TfL20 Delightful Deptford
Explore Deptford finding local eats, street art, nature and peaceful escapes all within a short stroll of the Deptford rail station.
TfL20 Wandsworth Wander
Get your daily nature fix on this circular walk through Wandsworth Common with a great play area and cosy cafe on route.
TfL20 Golders Hill Park
This walk around Golders Hill Park and West Heath has it all. Explore woodland, flower gardens, water and wildlife all in twenty minutes.
TfL20 Fulham Amble
A circular stroll from Fulham Broadway station through the lovely flower-filled green spaces of Eel Brook Common and Parsons Green.
Tfl20 Sydenham Loop
Take in some of Sydenham’s highlights on this circular route including Mayow Park, the community garden and the local high street.
TfL20 Leisurely Leytonstone
The scenic route between Leytonstone High Road and Leytonstone Station. Go via Wanstead Flats, Bushwood and its beautiful tree-lined streets.
TfL20 Strolling Stratford
Take the green route between Stratford International DLR and Hackney Wick Overground passing through East Village and the Olympic Park. Don’t forget to take a moment by the ponds to watch the ducks.
TfL20 Peckham Pathway
A lovely loop around Peckham starting at Peckham Rye station. Enjoy urban cool, street art and some local green space along the way.
TfL20 Exploring Ealing
Get some nature healing in Ealing on this circular jaunt from Ealing Broadway station through Ealing Green and Common. Feeling hungry? Plenty of great places to stop along the way for a bite to eat.

Stroll from White Hart Lane Station taking in the greenery and history of Bruce Castle Park and Tottenham Cemetery.
TfL20 Kew to the Thames
A leisurely route from Kew Gardens Station to the Thames and back, passing by the picturesque National Archives garden.

A jaunt around a little London Wildlife Trust nature reserve in Crayford. Perfect for dog-walkers or a quick nature break.

A circular walk around Bromley High Street and the town centre’s secluded Church House Gardens. There’s a lake, kids playground and skate park.

Walk from Clapham South to Clapham Common station across the wide open fields of Clapham Common.

A nice, easy nature-filled jaunt around the historic streets of Clerkenwell. Lovely hidden gems en route. Keep your eyes peeled.
