Turning London into a National Park City

We are big supporters of London becoming a national park city and couldn’t wait to be a part of their first ever National Park City week. By becoming a national park city we hope that it will  make London a greener, wilder space where people will be able to enjoy its open spaces even more.

First up Go Jauntly took part in National Park City’s Fair at Conway Hall near Holborn. Groups and campaigns across London did talks, hosted walks and set up stalls to promote how they’re encouraging people to get outdoors and enjoy London’s green and blue spaces.

Some of our new faves included: Tranquil Pavement, Wild in the City, Nature Connectors, Friends of Epping Forest, Energy Garden and Outdoors People and some old faves like The Woodland Trust, Ramblers and The National Trust.

Alongside free wildflower seeds, we gave out printed copies of our best walk collections, which you can find here on the website including London’s most instagrammable walks, best pub walks and kid friendly adventures, perfect for this long hot summer we’re having.

Keep an eye on what National Park City are up to next over on their website here and find more walking inspiration on the London Mayor’s website.
