1. Morpeth’s Suffragette Nature Trail
Distance: 4.7km
A wonderful circular walk around Morpeth, featuring spectacular views, a suffragette hero and a massive dose of nature in all its glory
2. Berwick Hospital Heritage Trail
Distance: 3.8km
A historical walk through Berwick-upon-Tweed, looking at hospitals from the past and present with rich archive photos and numerous points of interest en route.
3. Ashington Local Heroes Walking Tour
Distance: 6km
A footballing heroes circular walk around Ashington where all the great players were made. There must be something in the water. Will you pick up some skills en route?!
4. Seaton Colliery and Harbour Walk
Distance: 10.4km
A wonderful walk around Seaton Delaval that starts at the new railway station. Explore woodlands, ponds and harbour side views with pubs en route.
Distance: 6.8km
A gorgeous circular jaunt around Ponteland. River and countryside views galore, a smattering of Anglo Saxon history and a pub at the end! Step-free option available.
6. Off the Beaten Track on Holy Island
Distance: 2.9km
A tranquil walk around the quieter areas of Holy Island. Has tricky paths and a lot of rocky beach walking. Only visit during low tide.
Distance: 3.3km
A gorgeous steep walk with stiles taking in Northumbrian countryside, a rolling burn and unforgettable Roman views. Refreshments en route.
8. Hauxley Nature Reserve and Beach
Distance: 3.2km
A lovely walk along a sandy beach followed by some beautiful bird watching in Hauxley Wildlife Visitor Centre.

A straightforward walk along one of the UK’s best beaches, with incredible views of the castle and refreshment options.
10. Whirl Housesteads & Hadrian’s Wall
Distance: 1.6km
A walk around the outskirts of Housesteads and a short bimble along the world-famous Hadrian’s Wall. Option to pay to explore the ruins.
