Go Jauntly’s mission is to make walking as fun and easy as possible. We have several API's available for integration into Mobility-as-a-Service platforms, health apps, travel planners and other platforms or organisations that wish to promote walking, active travel, wayfinding and nature connection.
Our Green Routes API intelligently suggests unique walking routes around any location or point of interest in the UK & Ireland. From nature reserves to cute villages and historic urban centres we can provide walking routes from A to B or a circular walk with a variations of distances. Our Green Routes are created using several open-source environmental and walking data sets as well as priority data. We can also integrate additional hyper-local data where available.
To create the walking routes, we give high priority to “green” elements, like green and blue space, the size of parks and street trees, and try our best to avoid negative aspects like the busyness of roads and high pollution levels. The balance of positive vs negative aspects are designed to enhance walkability and help bring about benefits to physical and mental wellbeing through being outdoors and connecting with nature.
Our curated photo-led walks are also being made available as part of the API. Via the Go Jauntly app, the community can upvote or downvote paths to help the system learn how to improve the routes. App users can also provide more detailed feedback on the routes in-app. This feeds back into the walking algorithm to make the walks even better for the future.
